How It Works

Choosing to work as an apprentice in the beauty industry is a great way to learn and gain experience, all at the same time!

In order to complete the state requirements for Cosmetology, you’ll need to be enrolled in a state-approved apprenticeship program (like ours) while simultaneously working in a salon.

During class hours, you’ll receive inclusive training, as well as hands-on experience from a State Board Certified Instructor. This will account for a portion of your required hours and you will then receive your remaining hours while working in the salon of your choice.

Our curriculum was designed to support the development of the whole person. In addition to state mandated training and courses we focus on professional and personal growth.

How much does it cost for enrollment into our Apprenticeship Program?

TUITION & FEES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CERTIFIED APPRENTICESHIP:

$2,500 Pre-Apprenticeship Training: 39 hours

$2,800 Hands-On and Theory Classes: 220 min 260 hours max

*Deposit of $1000 to begin enrollment once accepted into the program, Pre-Apprentice training fees to be paid off 3 weeks before start date.

Admission Requirements

Be at least sixteen (16) years of age and have completed the 10th grade or its equivalency
Have a valid social security (SSN) or individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN)
Have a valid government-issued photo ID
Excited and dedicated to learning the craft of hair/cosmetology

Committed to in-person training at Be Here Salon up to 8 hours a week over the course of the apprenticeship.

Dedicated to developing new skills and knowledge.
Must complete orientation and 39 health and safety hours virtually prior to applying for the apprentice license.
No more than three (3) absences throughout the entire apprenticeship. They can not be consecutive.
Must attend the first class of each course. If class is missed you can not take the course and must wait for the next session.
